JUNE 6-7, 2020: After a long off-season and COVID-19 delays, the SDBA season opener was held in Paris, TX. 70 boats entered the event and for the first time no spectators were allowed to attend this event due to the pandemic concerns.
The Bad Company Racing Team brought two entries to this event. Marcus has decided to take the year off from racing the Top Alcohol Flat, so Dylan will be driving Bad Company Too 099 TE and Angelee Shaw will drive B-N Bad 004 PWC.
BAD COMPANY TOO 099 TE: The team rebuilt the motor over the off season and added some new electronics to Bad Company Too. After three Rounds of qualifying on Saturday, Dylan landed in the #2 spot on the ladder for Sunday's elimination rounds.
On Sunday, Round 1 of eliminations, Dylan was paired with a tough competitor in Top Eliminator class, Sambo Smith (driver of Crapshooter). Dylan had the better reaction time of the two drivers, the race was very close at the finish line. Sambo crossed the finish line first to take the win with an 0.024 margin of victory over Dylan. Sambo Smith went on to a runner-up finish for the event.
